Information Collection

CodeYMate IDE ("the Software") is a desktop application that primarily runs locally. We only communicate with our servers in the following scenario:

License Activation — When you enter a Pro activation key, the Software sends a single request to our server to verify the key's validity. This request contains only the activation key itself and does not include any personal information, project data, or code content.

Apart from the activation scenario above, the Software does not automatically collect, transmit, or upload any of your data to remote servers.

02

Local Data Storage

All of your work data is stored locally on your device, including but not limited to:

Project files and code — stored in directories you specify;

Software settings and preferences — stored in the Software's local data directory;

Git and SSH credentials — encrypted and stored on your device, never uploaded to any remote server.

You can access, modify, or delete this data at any time directly through your file system.

03

Data Usage

The Software does not use your data for any commercial purposes. Your code, project files, and configuration data are never analyzed, mined, or shared with any third party.

The activation verification request is used solely to confirm your Pro license validity and is not used for any other purpose.

04

Third-Party Services

When you use Git or SSH features to connect to remote repositories (such as GitHub, GitLab, Gitee, etc.), data transmission and processing are governed by the privacy policies of those third-party service providers. The Software acts solely as a client tool and is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

05

Data Security

We take the following measures to protect your data:

All data is stored locally by default, minimizing network exposure;

SSH private keys and Git credentials are stored encrypted on your device;

Activation requests are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS.

06

Your Rights

Since your data is stored entirely on your local device, you have full control over it. You may at any time:

View and access all your project data;

Export or back up your configuration files;

Delete the Software and all associated data (simply uninstall the application and remove the configuration directory).

07

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates take effect immediately upon posting on this page. If significant changes are made, we will note them in the Software's changelog.
